A good baked pasta. Should be called Baked Penne but I'm being nitpicky.

I don't care for stewed tomatoes either, Michelle. I like my tomatoes much finer than stewed ones seem to be. They tasted just fine in this.

Dumped 4oz whole button 'shrooms in the sausage while it was cooking. It blended right in with the texture of the "Ziti" and stewed tomatoes and the lump size sausage.
Used a large size stoneware casserole dish.
I like baked Ziti. And this one without exception.
I used to buy this dish from a catering place on my way home after a hard evening at the bar (customer side).
