    Baked Ziti
A good baked pasta. Should be called Baked Penne but I'm being nitpicky.

I have cooked with stewed tomatoes only a couple of times and it seems they have a different flavor than other canned tomatoes...that I don't care for. Did you notice them much in this? I have a can that's been lingering in my pantry for a while, and I am intent on using it lol. Your not being nitpicky, it should be called Baked Penne! Great pic. :)

Thank you, ladies. This is one of those dishes that tastes better the next day.
I don't care for stewed tomatoes either, Michelle. I like my tomatoes much finer than stewed ones seem to be. They tasted just fine in this.

Tried my hand at this dish. Used hot Italian sausage and doubled the recipe without trouble. Hate having half boxes of stuff setting around. Dumped 4oz whole button 'shrooms in the sausage while it was cooking. It blended right in with the texture of the "Ziti" and stewed tomatoes and the lump size sausage.
Used a large size stoneware casserole dish.
I like baked Ziti. And this one without exception.
I used to buy this dish from a catering place on my way home after a hard evening at the bar (customer side).
