Balsamic Green Beans

    From Mommyluvs2cook: Balsamic Green Beans

I loved the combination of flavors in this simple dish! Blanching the beans ahead of time and letting them sit until I needed them made the whole thing come together in no time at all. That's important when you're trying to get dinner on the table quickly. Thanks, Mommyluvs2cook for a new favorite way to make green beans! Oh, I forgot to say that I had a little over half a pound of green beans for just the two of us, so I halved the sauce and it was plenty for the amount of beans.

I'm SO glad you enjoyed these! Green beans and balsamic go so well together, this is still my favorite way to make them :) Thanks for the great review Bakerme!!

Uh-oh, I didn't see that there was already another review for these. Oh well, they were good enough that they deserve two ;) I used the sweet balsamic vinegar I got from Williams-Sonoma and I think it made the dish! I don't normally like balsamic vinegar, but that stuff is really exceptional! If I can find the post that talked about balsamic vinegar, I know I posted the link to Williams-Sonoma's site to buy it, and will re-post it here.

Got it! Luckily, it wasn't too far back and 'balsamic vinegar' was in the thread title or I never would have found it! This is the best!:

I got my recommended by Michelle balsamic last month but haven't done anything with it yet. I should look for something.
Two threads are better than one. :-P

Haha, Frankie! Crack open your new balsamic vinegar for this recipe. I think it would go with any meat.

Yum, these look good. For years I had myself convinced that I didn't like balsamic... until I tried the good stuff.

Angel, other than the vinegar in the link I posted, I still don't like balsamic vinegar, even the good stuff! As my husband says, I'm a hard audience ;)

Thanks, Bakerme. I bought aged balsamic from the little Italian shop not far from me because hubs likes it. I still don't like a lot of it but a hint really improves a dish.

I like the balsamic vinegar in the above link so much that I use it *straight* on salads instead of salad dressing! Now *that's* saying something for me - haha!

That looks good but by the time that I pay the difference in currency, shipping and customs fees it would probably be twice the amount of the vinegar. Thanks for the referral though.

Whoops, I forgot about the currency difference and all the other fees. I *hate* paying shipping and handling, so seldom order anything online. Maybe once or twice a year, if that.
