Beef dip

I've made beef dips before and this is by far my new favorite!! The broth had a ridiculous amount of flavor, which I was surprised by! Usually I have to spruce it up at the end but I took one taste and was very pleased :) The soy sauce was a nice touch. I sauteed up some peppers and onions to go on top with a slice of muenster cheese (all I had) then popped it in the oven for a minute. SO GOOD!!! I will definitely be making this a lot Chuckie!!!

Ohhh! So pleased you tried this recipe and liked it Michelle! It's a super, duper easy one and as you say, has loads of flavour. Awesome idea on the peppers, onions and cheese (LOVE Muenster) addition. I'll have to try and remember that for next time! Luverly picture! :)

Mom, what kind of roast did you use? I dont think I ever had a roast roast. I dont consider a chuck roast one or is that what you used? I want to try this today

Man, this was good. The whole house smelled good when I got home. I did add onions and a red bell pepper. Half an onion when I started it and the other half along with the pepper about 30 minutes before done Oh and I tossed in a rosemary branch. Everything else I followed, tho. Used a 2lb Eye of Round roast (what ever the heck that is. Its what the store had) Loved it
Great beef dip. Thanks, mom for the heads up and thank you, Chuckie, for a great recipe

So pleased you liked it MrP! (Beautiful picture of your kids in your Avatar by the way!) The Rosemary branch is a cool idea. I'd never thought of the addition of onion or peppers 'til Michelle mentioned it. So you added the onion and pepper to the crock pot? I think if I do that addition I'll do as Michelle did and saute them though. And eye of round roast is a little pricier cut of meat than I would normally use but that just means you 'elevated' the recipe. :) Thanks for adding your picture. It's a yummy one. :)

I would have rather sauted them, but I really didnt feel like cooking : ) Thats what I LOVE about the crock pot. Toss it in and go. Oh, I forgot to mention that I added swiss before piling on the goodies

Thanks for the comment on my chillins, Chuckie : )

So happy someone else got to enjoy this delicious recipe!! Yes, you got a more expensive cut...but hey, now you can say your living the high life :) I do like your idea of throwing in the peppers and onions at the end to save a little time....always a good tip around this crazy house!

I intended to get a cross rib roast. (What ever that is. The only 2 roast I know are New York, and Prime RIb. The rest are ???) My local market advertised them for $2.99 per lb. They were out so they gave the the eye of round for the same price. I love my local mart. So does my goofy dog. She loves taking the walk

Well sounds like you got a good deal! I've seen tons of roast with different labels at my store...some that I can think of right now - eye of round, tri tip, shoulder....never heard of a New York!
