    Braised Lamb Shanks
I loved this! The shanks were perfectly cooked and the sauce had a lot of flavor. It could be thickened up into gravy, too. There was more Guinness than broth in this but it didn't end up tasting like that. If you served it to someone they probably would be wondering "Just what is that I taste?" I liked that this didn't have the usual carrot/potato thing thrown into the mix. Just good old lamb.

Yummy, that looks good! I have never seen lamb shanks around here, just lamb chops, and lamb roast....

Yes, you may have to ask for them. I had to this time. They had them in the back. Frozen, but they still worked. :)

I'm just glad you made 'em...he's not around as much as he'd like to be(I see he sneaked in up there, though! ;) and he's a damn fine cook...

even if all he seems to cook is steak and beans, seafood and lamb

    hehehe
