    Great comfort food here. Dumplings turn out well. Mine are always too waxy or too firm doughy. Nice technique on the dumplings. Used buttermilk powder and therefore had to add an extra 1/4c liquid to make the dumpling dough.
    Used backs and wing tips I had been saving up.
    No onions. Used 1/4c dehydrated onion bits.
    Just happened to be a steady rainy day; fit for chicken and dumplings.

    As an afterthought after the recipe was made I threw in 4oz of whole button 'shrooms and a handful of baby spinach.

    I love that picture! I do love chicken and dumplings. I may stink at making biscuits but I do make up a fluffy dumpling. That's a popular one, so thanks for putting it in IMI, pso.

    These are the best dumplings ever! Mine always turn out a weird texture, and I am never pleased with them. I used a whole cut up chicken and fresh parsley. For the dumplings, I only had about a Tbs left of parsley flakes, so I made up for it with 1/2 tsp. oregano, 1/2 tsp. thyme. I added water as needed while the chicken cooked. Used poultry seasoning and TJ's Everything seasoning and added a dash of cayenne. Very comforting and a nice recipe to end the day off with :) Thanks Keni for leaving behind all of the fantastic recipes!

    Made these again too. Still the great flavor I remember. Had everything at the house and I was interested in making the dumplings again so as I could try to remember how a good dumpling is done.
