Cream Biscuits

    Recipe by Jkstern: Cream Biscuits/saved#
It's an alright biscuit. Only coaxed 3/4" rise out of them. Enough to make them light and airy. Nothing special in flavor. Dough is sticky, as indicated. Patting it out with plenty of flour is the solution.
Baked an additional 2.5 minutes with the convection oven on for browning.

And people make fun or assume I'm exaggerating when I say we southerners eat biscuits almost every day.... ;-)

For the record... doesn't appear that the photo on the page is of this recipe....and they are listed as buttermilk biscuits on what seems to be the original blog the pic came from.

You're on a roll with the whipping cream ones, though, arentcha? ;-)

Ummmmm, so did you eat one and put the rest in the freezer to keep your pancakes company :)

I have to say that all the bisucits that you are making is making me want to make them even more. I need to use up the whipping cream that I bought about 2 weeks ago to make some then when I got home I FULLY read the recipe and saw that I needed a rolling pin. So that ended that endeavor. I need to get to it and make them drop style. Nice looking biscuits, Points

Well it seems that I got some directions to a couple of biscuit recipes, waiting in cue, mixed up. I patted these out to thickness and did not knead the dough at all. Now I'm going to have to make these again to follow the directions completely. Will take about a week to go through these.
For the record.............I'm not from the south. I just happen to live here.
Cheap and easy seems to be my motto lately and biscuits fit well on that plate.
Another stereotype bites the dust along with blondes and brains.

Ha! You never fail to give me a chuckle, P7O.... still, that's more biscuits than any northern living person I've ever known to make! That sentence doesn't make sense, but I'm leaving it...cus I like it that way!

    Have a great day!

And, MP...yes. You do need to try them. Drop is all I do... I don't bother with the roll out. But, then, you know this. We've discussed it. At length. ;-)

Did you make these before, pso? It looks like you have a comment further down the page. Or is that one from this making? Just curious - again. :)

Yes, made it before. And before we were making links to the recipes and before I was making pictures. And before I can remember the outcome. Sounds like my previous comment fared better than this current one. Maybe it's because of the kneading that I forgot this time.
