Deviled Potato Salad

Recipe by Lunasea: Deviled Potato Salad/saved
Has a little too much heat for me and the amount of mustard is a little too too too.
My picture has a way different coloration than the recipe's posted pic.
Didn't even bother to use the anchovy paste.
Thought I would try making this because I mistakenly read the title as deviled egg potato salad and I liked that flavor in the last potato dish I made.

Two tablespoons of hot sauce does seem like a lot, especially with the Dijon mustard. Those are some strong ingredients there. I guess I kind of like a bland potato salad. I like to get a taste of the potatoes.

Yeah...sounds like alot of both ingredients. I always add a little, taste, then maybe add more a little at a time whenever I make a new recipe like this. Easier to add than take away. (Even do that when I make my own, since I never measure...lol). I think I'd want some mayo in here to balance out the other flavors...

Guess I'm stupid that way in trying out new recipes. Too trusting! Although I did ask myself why there wasn't any mayo.

no no no, P7O, not stupid! I learned that the hard way! The first time I made my dad's potato salad it turned out like egg salad with potatoes in it...ummm....UGH! lol And when I told Mom, she said "well, what you need to do is add a little mayo and a little mustard at a time...you can always add more". : )

Just following the recipe points! I don't understand the no mayo situation though. With that I can understand it being mustard-y.
