Easy Gratin a Courge (squash Gratin)

  Recipe by Thearodgers: Easy Gratin Courge Squash Gratin
  Well flavored and creamy gratin.
  Used summer squash.
  If this works on pumpkin as advertized, I would like to make it again using sweet potato.
  Have all the ingredients on hand.
  Didn't have the right gratin dish. Used an 8x5 bread pan.
  Sets up nicely when plated. Minimal liquid.

  I forgot to mention the cheese was smoked. Gave the gratin a bacon flavor.
