Frankieanne's Malibu Chicken

    I made Frankieanne's
    Copycat Sizzler Malibu Chicken
for dinner last night and it was FANTASTIC! Both hubby and I went back for seconds.
I didn't have any chicken breasts on hand so I used boneless, skinless thighs instead and I also didn't have any swiss cheese so I used an Italian Montasio instead. Other than that I followed the recipe to a 'T'.
It was very tender and juicy. The flour, egg wash, breadcrumbs really seal things in. It was very easy to make and put together yet it looks very nice on the plate, like you went to more effort than you really did! :)
I love recipes like this as well as if you were having company over you could make it up to the point where you've browned the chicken earlier on in the day and then you could just add the cheese and ham and put it in the fridge until you are just about to eat and then pop it in the oven to finish it off.
Hat's off to you Frankieanne! It's a definite keeper!

You'll love this MrP. I'd never had it either.
We loved it Frankieanne. Like I say, I will make it often. The picture content is nice but Dahlia's going to have to teach me some of her 'lighting' techniques as it came out dark!
I've never heard of the "Sizzler" restaurant Marie. But if they made this, it must have been good! :)

I made this a while back. Finally getting around to posting. I made 8 breast. Chuckie, you were right. I did love them. All of them : ) Excellent recipe. Great hot or cold and other than pounding, it was easy. Great recipe, Frankie. Thanks for sharing. Posted a couple of pics

All this Malibu Chicken talk made me hungry for some last night but I didn't have any ham. I subbed bacon (cooked) and it was pretty good! :-)

40 POUNDS OF CHICKEN! Wow! Don't know if I've ever seen that much in one place apart from the grocery store Mr. P! :)

Heh. No I didnt buy them out. I tried, but I ran out of freezer space : ) I have a storage freezer, but have not set it up yet. I go thru a lot of chicken and hate when I run out and theres no sale for weeks. So I stock up. I usually cook about 5-6 lbs at a time so thats only 5 -7 batches. What can I say? I like left overs :: )
