    Bisquick Oven Baked Chicken

I made this a while back. I made 3 with skin and 4 without. This reminded me of KFC chicken which I have not had in decades. Very good. Out of the oven I loved the pieces with the skin most. As leftovers I preferred the ones without. After trying this, I will now have to start looking for more oven fried/baked chicken recipes. I miss this taste. This was very qucik and easy. Thanks, Frankie for a great recipe.

I'm glad you liked this, MrP. I love oven frying chicken. Less of a mess, too.

I went and picked up chicken with skin to make this again. Its just so simple. Other than the chicken with skin I always have the ingredients.

Can I suggest that this be added to the IMI group?

Ha, that's so funny, MrP. I've been harping and nagging everyone to add their recipes to the group and I haven't even gotten to all of mine yet! I'll be sure to get this one in though. :)
And just a reminder to any lurkers out there - I'd love to add your made recipes to the group! That's what this group is all about!

I made this (finally) today, New Years, and we loved it:) I used boneless, skinless thighs & breasts...also used smoked paprika and did add a little garlic powder (as Frankieanne suggested) it was slightly crispy and had such a good flavor! Added a pic to the recipe:) I will make this again for sure:)

Easy, tasty. Skin was soft-crisp and flavorful. Used homemade Bisquick and a bag of skin-on bone-in thighs.
    Added some Emerell's Essence.
Think you could back off on the time a little. Internal temperature was 165F already at the 35 minute mark, and that's on bone in thighs which should take longer to cook. After the turn and additional 15 minutes, temp was up to 200F.

Thanks so much for trying it outs, pso. You must have little thighs. :) Glad the homemade Bisquick worked on this as well.

Dish rendered out 4 oz fat after straining. Found a Mexican rice recipe to use half of it. And maybe I'll use the other half to make some chicken gravy, depending on how good the rice tastes.
