    Georgia Peach Crisp By: Quaziefly
I made this yesterday & it's very good. I did not use rum as I did not have any on hand. In the ingredients list, 1/2 tsp cinnamon is listed twice so I just used 1/2 tsp. I also upped the butter to 3 tbsp (I am a butter-holic) and left out the egg b/c I didn't have one.. Finally, I sprinkled a bit of nutmeg on top before baking. In the future, I may cut down on the amount of sugar w/the peaches just for our personal tastes. Served it warm with vanilla bean ice cream.

Was 1/2 tsp. enough cinnamon? I love alot of cinnamon flavor! I would of probably used 1 tsp.

    Another delicious looking pic!

I felt that it was enough but if you like it, go for the full tsp! perhaps divided between the peaches & topping?

I'm thinking that extra measure of cinnamon should have been cloves or nutmeg. I'm going to make this with 1/4t cloves and nutmeg. And maybe even 1/4 or 1/2 t almond extract.

I know what the duplicate ingredient is! It's salt!
Third line of the destructions references the salt but in the ingredient list it is missing.
Figured it out only after I had added some cloves and nutmeg. There's something to be said about rereading the destructions.

P7O good catch. I have run into the same situation.
Reread directions when cooking and proof read before and again after posting.
One could send a PM to the submitter as a nice heads-up. I have done that in the past and it seemed well taken each time.

Didn't like the topping too much as I have a little of a sore mouth, but it's probably just great. Did like the peach bottom though.

yes, please... my editor doesn't do as good of a job as he used to ;), and I KNOW I have errors in my recipes, mostly cus I don't write things down...I want them pointed out. I will always leave a comment in the recipe, too, that it's been changed, so as not to make someone look like an idiot for pointing out a missing ingredient or step that's not missing! I fully intend to take on all the idiotdome. ;)

After letting the dish chill for a day, the peach juice had a chance to wick up into the topping and soften it up for me. Much more palatable even with this sore mouth.

To me, the topping was the best part. Sorry it didn't serve you well, P7O. Good catch on the salt btw
