Hamburger Casserole

    Hamburger Casserole posted by Dragonflylady13

This was very good! I added some garlic and Italian seasoning to the tomato sauce, which made it more like a deep dish pizza..very easy to put together for a Friday night dinner..I also used ground chicken instead of hamburger, and since the recipe didn't state the can size for the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes, I used 8 oz tomato sauce & 14.5 oz diced tomatoes, drained. Thanks for sharing Dragonflylady:)

MMMMMM I gotta try this. That's what I would have added, too! Great pic! Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I can see adding roasted red peppers, banana peppers, kielbasa...anything you like on pizza!! :)

Lori, I never even thought of adding roasted red peppers or kielbasa(..that would have been really good:) I have a hard time thinking outside the box at times! I was thinking turkey pepperoni, but it might have been too greasy. Do you think I added enough cheese? Looking at the pic, I think so..gads:D

I like the deep dish pizza idea. Ummmm yeah. There's enough cheese on it. I think. :)
Did you have any problem with the biscuits burning on the bottom?

Hey FA:) No, I didn't have a problem with it burning on the bottom (I kept looking though LOL, I used a glass pyrex dish)...I did spray the baking dish with a little oil...It took about 25-30 maybe 35 minutes to bake.(.I can't remember, sorry..)..bake until the biscuits are done:D Leftovers are good as well!

Never thought of doing that with biscuits as a crust in a casserole! That looks super cheesy! Yum!
