Ingredients
  • 1lb. Hamburger (I actually will make more than 1 pound, because my husband likes it with extra hamburger!)
  • ΒΌ onion, chopped
  • 1 can buttermilk biscuits
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • diced black olives
  • shredded cheese

Directions
  1. In large skillet, cook hamburger and onions until hamburger is no longer pink. Set aside.
  2. In a baking dish, press biscuits into bottom of dish, forming the bottom crust.
  3. Spread tomato sauce over biscuits. Spread hamburger, mushrooms, black olives and tomatoes over tomato sauce then sprinkle with cheese.
  4. Bake at temperature shown on biscuit can. Bake for 5-10 minutes longer than biscuit can says, or until biscuits are cooked through. (be careful not to burn bottom of biscuits!)
  5. Serve.
  6. Note: Pepperoni, Canadian bacon or sausage can be substituted for the hamburger!

I forgot to mention this in the recipe, so I'll just mention it here. When my MIL gave me this recipe, she said to use buttermilk biscuits. They taste great, but over the years, I've had to use substitutes, and discovered that the grand's butter (not buttermilk) biscuits are so much better than buttermilk biscuits!
