Izmir Meat Balls In Tomato Sauce

    from Kutadkubili

my first time making a Turkish dish...I was looking for something different to do with venison, and decided to try a recipe calling for lamb...

I made some changes, which may seem major, but in reality, they were quite minor...and I don't think I compromised the dish...

not to mention, we LOVED it :) Different from our "usual" serving and preparation, so I'm pleased.

A very full review and my pics are on the page!

Great, detailed review & nice pictures! I've made at least 1/2 dozen of Kutadkubilik's Turkish foods & they have ALL been excellent! My 2 faves are her Lutuka & her Turkish Zucchini fritters - so delicious! Oh, & her Circassian chicken is so good also - I've made it in so many ways (including using leftover chicken once ) & each was excellent - so many ways that you have to read my review. The one & only that I least liked was the honey & basil marinated chicken, but even that was good, especially with her serving suggestions of a tomato & onion salad, & fried potatoes.
