Jan's Crockpot Pulled Pork

    Recipe by Pleclare: Jans Crockpot Pulled Pork
    This is a very tasty pulled pork sandwich. Plenty to serve a crowd. I'll have to make more buns.
    One part of the recipe puzzled me. Why crock the pork an additional 4 to 6 hours after it has been shredded. The shred point tells me the meat is done. Any more cooking will tend to dry it out by drawing out more of its juices.
    I only crocked the meat an additional 2 hours to get all heated up again.
    Buns are from Chefjeb's recipe: Hamburger Buns
    Bbq Sauce is from P7O's recipe: Bbq Sauce
    Put them all together for a great sandwich.

    I also just cook it additional time to thicken and reheat, as needed... I even have in my chipotle pulled pork recipe to take the lid off during that last bit of "heating"... it works great to thicken up sauces if they are too thin because of so much liquid developing in crock cooking.... it works for me. :)

    looks great, P7O... will have to check out your BBQ sauce. See how it compares to mine in ingredients. :)

    Have never gotten heartburn from it. Maybe the sauce you use. I use Sweet Baby Rays and love it. Brothe has acid reflux problems and he doesn't get heartburn from it... so sorry!!!!
