Kielbasa Stroganoff

    Recipe by Keni: Kielbasa Stroganoff/saved
It's a good dish. Added more than a lil salt. A lil salt was not enough.
Again, this one horse town, doesn't have egg noodles in a 1lb package, so this recipe is a lil larger than spec'ed, by half.
Didn't have the kielbasa but did have some smoked sausage. Used dry herbs. And made the 'shrooms "steak cut" size because I had some "stuffer" size 'shrooms to use up.
Dish has a deep savory flavor of a good stroganoff but needs just a lil pop at the end.
Next time I make this I will add more than a lil salt. Maybe a couple more shakes of hot sauce. And maybe just a lil vinegar.

I'll gladly take a 4 from you, P7O! Thank you. Yeah, salt is gonna depend on your sausages, too....

I considered a squirt of lemon juice at the end, but I decided not to.... the bite from the sour cream ended up being enough for us, BUT, I can certainly see adding a zip more.... and, as is quite obvious, I'm not afraid of acids in my dishes! So, your vinegar idea would also work, I'm sure. I suspect that a mustard that's a lil more acidic would work, too....

whatever it takes! :) I'm just glad you tried it....always appreciated.

Great pic, too!! Thank you :)

I did notice localized saltiness around the sausages, which is a nice little nougat of flavor but for me it needed more salt. Mother liked it just fine. Tried some after it cooled off. Its a throw up........er..........a toss up............well.........you know what I mean. Don't know whether I like it better hot or room temp.
