  These are pretty sweet. I wouldn't make them for my bean loving dad as he would think they were too sweet. I did like them though. I made these yesterday and then they sat in the refrigerator overnight so they may taste a bit different if you ate them right away. I was too stuffed full of Sweet Cheesy Mini Meatloaves last night to eat anymore.

  We like sweet beans so I think these would go over well here and I like the idea of the addition of liquid smoke too.

  This is a great way to make canned beans taste better. But, I'm definitely doing the liquid smoke to counteract some sweet next time around.
