Myrnas Chewy Oatmeal Cookies

    There is something desperately wrong with this recipe.

    The cookies forgot to rise. They just spread out. I recently opened a new, not expired, box of baking soda to do these cookies.

    They taste good and are chewy but are too limp and thin. You can see through them.

    I made a batch of cookies that looked like this once but then turned around to figure out what happened and found half of the ingredients still setting in a bowl that I had forgot to incorporate into the recipe.

    This is the first recipe I have ever had to give a low rating.

    Maybe it needs some more egg or flour or baking soda/powder. I'm not the cookie recipe fixer. Someone else will have to do that.

    I just took a look at the ingredients...maybe the proportions of ingredients are off. Looks like it doesn't have enough flour in it. Maybe too much heavy ingredients and not enuogh light ones. At least they tasted good!
