help me out here, guys, before I bother Kristopher.... has anyone successfully used the "link" feature in the initial post on a thread?? I can't get it to work if I start a thread, but it works every time in consequent replies.

I browsed in here, and I can't find a thread that starts with a hyperlink.

    Anyone?

Thank you! (Lillian feel free to delete this once we get an answer :)

Also, is anyone else a member of Suggestions? I can't get in there, even though it says I'm a member. I'd like to unjoin it.

Link feature on threads? Hypelink! I don't know what that is? All I ever do is start threads and add photos, comments and recipe links to them! I didn't know we could do anything else!

I really need to take a computer class, don't I? lol!

Sorry, but I'm sure someone else will know!

the recipe links, Lillian.... if you START a thread, can you post the link and it comes out clickable?

I can't. It only works in replies

Thank you, P7O... I appreciate you trying for me. I'd like out of the group. :)

Where is the link function located? I'm looking all over this "off topic" string and don't see it.
Did a copy and paste to the home address. Did it take?

yeah, like that... you aren't supposed to have to do anything but post the link...

see, that worked... you just paste the link and hit the enter key and it should hyper link it... makes it "clickable"...

BUT, I can't get it to do it in a thread I start. I'm sorry about the confusion... I am not trying to be unclear. I appreciate the help.

nope.. looks like it's gotta be a recipe link, and that's fine... but still, I can't get it to work to START a thread

Keni, in order for it to be a Hyperlink (Lillian, that's the term for clickable link) you have to hit Enter after pasting the url (web address), even though the cursor automatically shows up on the next line, you still have to hit enter.

If that doesn't work, you do need to tell Kris. And be sure you copy and paste, instead of typing it in, cause you might be missing one little something that makes a difference. : )

Thanks, Sparow...yeah, I can get it to work everywhere but when I start a new topic .... even in your test, I don't see the hyper link...

I know I'm obviously not making myself very clear, but I don't know how else to say it....so, I'm a lil hesitant to bring it up to Kris, yet... I'll wait and see if it fixes or if I see anyone else with a link in the initial post on a thread :)

    Thank you so much!

Maybe Kristopher closed the Suggestions group now that he created that new group to ask questions/report problems in. He may want everyone to head to one place. Just a thought...

Yeah, I was hoping that was the case, Frankie..but, I also would like it gone from my list... because I'm anal is all...hehehe

but, yeah, I'm really hoping that's what it was...the group seemed misused, and now it's redundant.

Oh...hyperlink is the same as clickable link? Thanks Sparow! =)

It used to work without hitting the 'enter' key first. I hope it goes back to being that way because many members won't be able to do it then.

Kristopher just said on my thread in Help that it's fixed! :)
