Another one of those simple, but delicious recipes. I do think the directions are a bit nit-picky. I did transfer the garlic as directed, but just threw the cut brussels in the pan skipping the lying them cut down step. Tossed around during cooking adding a touch of olive oil here and there (the recipe does not state when to add the EVOO) when needed. I scooted the sprouts to the side and added in the pine nuts to brown. IMO I think the best results for pine nuts is to toast in a dry pan. Never used the called for amount of butter, probably half. Stirred everything together added the garlic back in and had a delicious side dish ready! 4 stars for complicated cooking method and that the pine nuts were not toasted correctly, but still everything is tasty.

Hopefully the recipe submitter doesn't come here to yell at me :) :)

We had brussel sprouts tonight as well..mine weren't quite this fancy though...
    :-D
I agree, the recipe doesn't say to toast the pine nuts first..they taste so much better when toasted...I don't see why butter is needed when your using olive oil..that's just me I
    guess:-)
    Beautiful pic Michelle..looks tasty!
LOL on the recipe submitter yelling at you:-D

I love Brussel Sprouts! I see you are using up your pine nuts. :)
You need to put the four stars on the recipe though. :)
