This was absolutely delicious! All of the different spices went so very well in this, loved the addition of chili powder, cayenne & red pepper flakes...just the right amount of heat:) I had to use a red pepper because I didn't have a yellow..the queso was a nice addition as well! I used your preferred stovetop method to prepare this..might try the crockpot next time... Lori, thank you for the "killer" chili recipe:)

Thanks so much for the nice review and picture Marie!! I'm so happy you tried it and enjoyed it!! It's a regular at my house through the cold months. I bet the red pepper was great. Last time I made it I used yellow and orange mini peppers that I had bought for Lauries stuffed laughing cow peppers! lol Thanks again...I'm really glad you enjoyed it.

Lori, oh, you are so welcome:) Whenever i make something "new" Rick asks where I found the recipe, well, he now calls this Lori from Tenneessee's chili..LOL

ML2C, if you enjoy a flavorful chili with a little heat, you should try this!!!

This sounds great, NP. Awesome looking bowl of chili. Sadly the only chicken chili I have ever had was Stagg's out of a can : ( But even that was good. This must be excellent.....I would do this in a crockpot. Thanks for the heads up : )

NP, I just got a new crockpot. (last one was starting to take almost 24 hours to make anything. Stuff came out great, but when it comes to eating, I get a lil impatient : ) I hope to get to this over the weekend

Had this for lunch. I started making it late last night. I had to alter the recipe a bit. I didnt have any northern beans canned or otherwise, so I used pinto (uncooked). I intended to use a green bell pepper that was in the fridge, but it had been there a little too long and it wasnt so green anymore : O
I used a slow cooker for 9 hours on high to accommodate raw beans. I dont know how much the pinto beans affected the outcome, but I loved it. And it made a ton : ) I used 4 lbs or b/s breast and 2 cups (uncooked) pintos. Great recipe, Sparrow. Thanks, again
