Potato dumplings and gravy

    Potato Dumplings recipe by Thepiggs: Potato Dumplings
    My first potato dumpling. It turned out per spec. And as noted the dumplings need to be paired with something. They are a little dull by themselves. If you make them straight up, consider more seasoning and spices to give them character.

    I paired them with Chef_irish's Basic All American Brown Gravy recipe. WOW, what a showy gravy. Take it easy with any salt and pepper. This gravy has buckets of flavor.

    Made pictures of both dishes. The dumplings do not break the surface when cooking. They raise off the bottom and circulate up and down with the boiling water just under the surface. After the required boil time when the lid is lifted, then they have broken the surface.
