I couldn't get the rest of this in the recipe so here the remaining steps:
Drop several of the balls into the boiling water. They will sink to the bottom. When all balls have risen to the top, cover pot and boil another 5 minutes. Remove from water with slotted spoon and place on serving platter.
Repeat until all dumplings have been cooked.
Serve with Sauerbraten or beef roast and thickened gravy from meat.
I like to pour a rich brown meat gravy over a platter of meat slices and dumplings. Garnish with parsley or chopped green onion.

Just bought a roast and I will try this recipe. I like the idea of using nutmeg for flavor.

Ah, potato glaze! That's what they're called where I'm from (glaze sounds like kloesse). They're good with rouladen, too.
