PTA Chicken

I'm not in the PTA but Pta Chicken by Sandym204 is staying in rotation at my place ;-) I used thighs and legs, butter in place of margarine and Mrs. Dash with a bit of seasoning salt. I also added potatoes. It was great!

This sounds so good and great photo! There are potatoes listed in the ingredients so did you add more? Just curious!

Haha duhhhh.. Nice catch Mommyluvs! No, I just put potatoes as listed. Thanks :)

Hey MrP, good to be seen :) This really is a great recipe and you can modify the seasonings to what you like/ have on hand.

That was a good catch, ml2c. I was going to say something on the SA side, but you beat me to it Darnit :P

DT, how do you think this dish would turn out with b/s ?

You, SA?! Never.. I think it could work but the skin on & bone in really stays moist & adds good flavour to the veggies. Though I did take some skin off the thighs before cooking.

I looked at that recipe just last week. I liked the look of the Worcestershire mix. Yours came out very tasty looking! Did you use only four pieces of chicken?

I used 4 thighs & 5 drumsticks. Thanks for the compliment, I wasn't that fond of the pick but it's so hard when we eat after all the natural light has gone.. What can ya do? Well, buy a light box but I'm not there yet.. Sorry for the rambling ;-)

I guess I could remove the skin after cooking. I just dont like skin that is not Crispy. I bet it would add a bunch of flavor to the veggies.......And no worries about ramblings DT, I think you take great pics er "pick" as you would say :)

Hahah! I meant to write pic, of course. Nice one! Yes, you can always remove the skin before you eat it. I, like you, enjoy crispy skin.

This looks WONDERFUL!!! Thanks for sharing Dahlia, I am trying this one soon. MrP, my 2 cents on b/s chicken is: that is what I always use in the crockpot. In my 34 years of cooking chicken in the crockpot, I have never had it NOT be flavorful and juicy. : ) The only way I like skin is when it's actually pan fried, and it's probably been a good 30 years since I cooked with skin-on chicken. Even before you could buy b/s, my Mom taught me to take the skin off first. (Not a fun job. lol). I don't think it would take anything away from the recipe to use b/s.
