Recipes I Just Posted - Desert!

I just posted two wonderful cakes I have made. The first one is Cotton Patch Cake by Jett2whit. It is a wonderful fresh tasting cake that has the flavor of summer. A wonderful light taste that is just right for the season, but I would have it anytime of the year!

The second cake I posted is just the opposite. It is the Easy Black Forest Cake by Hayleesgrandma. It is a richly decadent chocolate with cheese cake filling and Cherry pie filling between layers of chocolate cake. All is topped with more chocolate.

I have taken both cakes to church functions and given them away to people as gifts. They are very different cakes but both are equally appreciated!!

Good cake. Mother was just nibbling on her first 1/4 bite as she declared it a worthy effort.

Recipe went together quickly. Peeling and coring the apples took the longest time. Batter got very thick adding the flour. Had to take the electric beaters out and spoon mix the batter. Batter got better when the apple mix was folded in.

There are at least a half dozen fresh apple cake recipes on this site. Hope they are all as good as this one.
