    Recipe by Lanabade: Rice And Blackeyed Peas
    Didn't care for this recipe. It turned out too salty and the beans never did soften up even at triple the simmer time.
    I think maybe an overkill on the meat aspect of the recipe.

    Geez, pso, that is too bad that you had to throw it all out! That is a lot of ingredients. The lemon juice in it seems weird to me but I've never had black-eyed peas before. Still, seems odd.

    Thanks for mentioning the lemon juice. I did not wait for the beans to be cooked before throwing in the lemon juice. That could have been the mistake that kept the beans on the hard side. It still does not negate the salty taste.

    Ugh, too bad this didn't turn out for you pso :( acid will greatly increase the cook time on beans so that is probably what did it.
