Roasted Garlic

    Recipe by Sporadiccook: Roasted Garlic
Cloves still come out a little hard. A few more minutes in the oven will rectify that problem.
Mine came out looking exactly like the headliner pic. Popped one in my mouth. The raw flavor is gone but the fully baked flavor needs a little more time in the oven so the cloves smoosh out soft.

It's good for my purpose 'cause it's going to get whizzed up with some tomatoes in a food processor.

We love garlic, but I've never tried roasting it. Maybe because I don't know what to use it in!

Mix it up with butter and smear it on some Italian bread. There's lots of other uses but that's the first that comes to mind.

Smash and stir up a goodly amount of roasted garlic into room temperature butter. Form and refrigerate to solidify and bring back out to soften and spread on your desired bread. Toast it if you like, before or after adding the garlic butter.

I can't believe she says she could eat that like popcorn. I love garlic but...
I have never roasted garlic like that before. Sounds like it would definitely make good garlic butter. I'm thinking maybe it would be good in spaghetti sauce? Meatloaf glaze?

Roasted another head early this morning to get a leg up on a recipe. Smashed the cloves up good in a small bowl. After a nap I found out that mother had thrown out the garlic. She thought it was grease.
Too much putzing going on in my kitchen!
