Slow Cooker Chile Verde

    I pulled out some chicken thighs out of the freezer having no idea what I was going to do with them. I typed slow cooker into my bookmarks and this popped up! I used a Fire Roasted Salsa Verde and I left out the jalapenos so the kiddos could eat it. We had this in lettuce wraps topped with tomatoes, onions, avocado and shredded cheese. They were running down your arm juicy, loved it :P

    Frankieanne, you don't really notice the tomatillos unless you're actually looking for them for some reason or another! I didn't realize you could buy them in a can until I first made this years & years ago:-D

    I have actually never seen canned tomatillos, but our store seems to carry them fresh year around so that's what I used :) I'm actually eating leftovers of this right now as I type lol!
