    Tandoori Chicken Nirvana by DonSpain

This is excellent! The chicken soaked up all the marinade overnight, I'm so glad I waited and let this marinade longer. It's so tender, juicy and the flavour was all through the meat, right down to the bone! It was finger licking good!
I followed the recipe to a T except left out the food colouring (my kids are allergic to red and blue dye).
I served it with Naan bread and a simple salad. Perfection! I think I'd make this over regular roasted chicken quarters, a new favorite for sure!

Thanks Marie! It is so, so good! Definitely worth buying the ingredients because you'll make it over and over again! ;)
Pheww, it took me many tries to get this recipe on here today, I finally resized my photo smaller and it worked!

Yes, CM, this site does not like big pictures!
Do you know what the red food coloring is for in this dish? Your gorgeous picture doesn't make it seem like it is a factor.

Thanks everyone. And you are welcome Don! Thanks for posting such a great recipe :)
FA, I think the colouring is to get that authentic tandoori color (maybe Don can clarify?) But now that I remembered (thanks for asking!) I did use some paprika to try and dye it naturally, but then there is a lot of chili powder so it's not really necessary! :)

It looks wonderful, Shona! I for some reason don't have any problem uploading large pics? It just takes a bit longer and it shows on my bottom bar the percentage being uploaded. I don't use food colouring either, Shona unless they are natural. Some colourings are chemicals made from petroleum and coal and other less tasty things.

This looks SO GOOD and you did get a nice coloring on it! Good to know that marinating over night is a must, I always forget about marinating times and have to cut it short. I have to downsize every picture I load up on this site, it's easy and quick though, so no biggie :)
