So good! It wasn't left over turkey I used but I had a turkey tenderloin that I halved and sauteed. The crust in this recipe is nice and flaky! Don't make fun of the edges...I'm awful at making pie crust pretty! Inside I used celery, carrots, green beans, corn and peas. Hubby loved it A LOT, and that always makes me happy ;)

I won't make fun of your pie crust edges. ;) In fact, just between YOU and ME, I'm not a very good pie crust maker AT ALL. So hooray to you for making one that looks that delicious!

I LOVE turkey pot pies. LOVE them :) Waaaay back in the day I used to work at Marie Callenders. Those were my favorite dinners served along with their cornbread. Squirt on some Tabasco sauce and it was all over : ) I would really like to make this. I dont think I would do too well with making the pie crust tho :O I dont even know what a pastry blender is, let alone what one looks like. Wait, maybe I do. Is it a 6' tall monster mixer made by Hobart? I remember them making some type of dough in them. Thanks for the memory :) It sure looks good. Even your edges, ml2c

I'm not a great pie crust maker either BUT this was my most succesfull...rolling it out between wax paper helps A LOT, and helps with flipping it into the pie pan. You are WAY off on the pastry blender. It's just a little hand held gadget, here's a link to a pic. http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=pastry+blender&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=13510045768255725789&sa=X&ei=ZzS7TojiJuOG2gXBxdilBw&ved=0CFUQ8gIwAg Not as scary as what you were describing, huh? ;) And my edges are horrible...don't lie!

That is NOTHING like I thought it would be. I am MUCH less intimidated to try making something with that. I have seen those things. I always thought it was like one of those egg slicers, but on a bigger scale. And Im not lying about your edges. You just wait. If I build up the confidence to try and make this I will show you my outcome. Im sure it will make you PROUD of yours :)

I figured mine sounded easier to use than your 6 foot tall creepy machine! Lol its just dough and if it messes up, have boxed stuff on the look out! It's not as good but it does the job ;)

I think I may use box stuff. Does it come as a dough already and I just need to from it? I would really like to try and make a pot pie if I can get past the pie crust episode :)

Hey P! Yup, pie crust comes in a box, refrigerated, formed and folded and just ready to unfold.....or, it also comes in the freezer section already in a lil pan.... those come with two, too, but you'd have to take the second outta the pan and plop it over the top.... so, either way!

I have made a few pie crusts... but I hate them.

I've used the boxed crusts. My mother always told me she "hated" boxed crusts but one time I made a pie and used the boxed crust and didn't tell anyone. She loved it!! :) Frankly, I think they have really improved them over time.

Lol Keni! Pie crust is so tricky! Like Frankie said boxed pie crust doesn't taste bad but to me it still has a little "boxed" taste. And your welcome for the heads up :) enjoy!

mr p Does being in the "circle" also mean you get to eliminate words from your sentences? Didn't you mean spelling ERRORS and typos? :P I'd like to say WELCOME to you, but you're already here... :P

Well it seems that I have nailed my foot to the floor and that causes me to run in a circle. I just wanted some company :P
