Recipe by Beshy74: Three Cheese Garlic Scalloped Potatoes/saved
I was just so worried about the potatoes not coming done using 350F. I bumped the temp up to 400F and covered the casserole dish with tinfoil for the first 1/2 hour.
Cheese was browned nicely, uncovered, for the second 1/2 hour.
Potatoes tasted like they wanted to be not done, even at the elevated temp.
Good flavor with all those cheeses in there.
Believe I would bump up the temp to 450F and leave the casserole covered for the full hour, then add the Parmesan with the dish uncovered and let it brown up.
Too many ingredients for a 2qt dish. Put it in a 3qt dish. A 2.5qt would work if I could find it.

Wow, sounds cheesy! I haven't had scalloped potatoes in ages. I always added ham to mine. They sound good!

Frankie, I've added ham to mine, too, to make them more of a main dish meal and to use up some leftover ham. I haven't made scalloped potatoes in forever, though!

My scalloped potatoes always take longer than a an hour to cook. I sometimes precook the potatoes in the microwave to cut the baking time down. Great pic! Now you are making me think I will make some scalloped potatoes this week!
