Twice-baked Buttermilk Potatoes

Recipe by DetroitTokyo: Twice Baked Buttermilk Potatoes/saved
It's a good twice-baked spud. Couldn't stand not using the two left over shells. Filled them too but that made them not as stuffed as the recipe calls for.
Used powdered buttermilk. Took somewhere between 1 and 1 1/2 hours for initial bake.

Twice baked potatoes are my favorite! I need to try and find that white cheddar on sale somewhere, I'm thinking Trader Joe's might have it pretty cheap and I'm going there next Saturday. Looks delicious!

White cheddar should be less expensive than yellow cheddar. White is the natural look. Yellow is a coloring added to the cheese. I fear the producers are preying on the ignorance of the populace and bumping up the price of the white cheddar because almost all of the cheddar has the yellow food coloring added.

    ML2C, I get it from Trader Joe's - it's from New Zealand.

P7O, thanks for trying my recipe. Glad you enjoyed!

That's probably it PSO. It's about $1.50 more than the yellow stuff here. Doesn't seem like much but every little bit adds up at the store. I'll have to check for it at TD's definitely!
