Now this is my kind of pizza!! When I went to pull my food processor down from the top shelf of my pantry, the bowl part fell and broke into 3 pieces.... :( SO I did the dough in my mixer instead, which was easy enough! We made the dough into 6 personal pizzas, since we all have different pizza preferences, but I think mine was the best ;) Yay, it's basil season!

Looks amazing!!! I was wondering how this would work making the dough in a bread machine, then putting it into the bowl with some evoo...I hate using my food proccessor..and it's on a shelf I can't reach easily... lol

Food processor for making dough is easy peasy. I'm sad for you ML2C on your recent loss. When buying a new processor get one with a smooth blade, as in not serrated. It works better. NP we're going to have to talk about your issues with the processor and coax you into using it again.
I've always liked a white pizza and a clam topping is a knockout. The recipe looks in order but I'd have to just make 2 pizzas for a thicker crust.
The author must have an industrial oven to get all those pizzas in there at once. Baking one or two at a time lets the other crust sit out on the counter for more rise time but that's all good by me.
Sadly I'm off pizzas 'cause I can't resist eating a half dozen or more slices in a sitting.

I've never worked with a bread machine so I have no idea....
I have been eyeballing a cuisine art food processor for some time now, so this must be a sign that I need to get it lol! ;)

The 9 and 11 cup processors from Cuisinart are recommended from the reviews I have read. I have a DLC 7. It is a 14 cup processor from Cuisinart. Have had it for, I'm going to say 20 years. Never broke once.

Yea I want the 11 cup. The one I had that broke was a cheapo Black n Decker and it was so loud everyone would cover their ears when I turned it on.... kinda glad it broke ;)

Just finished reading America's Test Kitchen reviews of food processors. They like the 14 cup Cuisinart processor. I think America's Test Kitchen is the gold standard for testing out equipment.
I keep mine on the counter all the time.

Your pizza looked delicious ML2C! I tried that recipe last year and really had fun!
On the topic of Food processors, I too have the Cuisinart DLC 7 and I love it. That being said I have replaced virtually every part of the bowl system and I have only had it for about 5 years. The motor and body are totally in great shape and I had been putting the bowl, cover and the pusher etc. in the dishwasher and I think that's what deteriorated the plastic to the extent it was cracking and then not holding together properly. I have just purchased brand new parts (cost me $75 Ugh), but it seemed such a waste to throw out the entire thing when just the bowl needed replacing. So...I agree with Points....The Cuisinart 14 cup food processor is excellent, but hand wash your bowl!

That's probably what it was Chuckie, your dishwasher. The only I think I really use my dishwasher for is plates, bowls, cups and silverware. Pretty much anything else I hand wash....

I would keep mine on the counter if I had room! When I get a new one I'm going to make room for it on the floor of my pantry.
