    Used scratch tomato sauce by C2max: Roasted Tomato Sauce
    To go in a barbeque sauce by Pointsevenout: Bbq Sauce
    Quartered the tomato sauce recipe 'cause that's all I needed for the beans.

    All turned out well. Beans were done, although I crocked them on HI instead of LO to be sure.
    I think the pinto is too large a bean for barbequed beans. It requires more mastication which gets into the bean flavor takes away from the barbeque flavor. A smaller bean is better suited.
