Gotta run to Costco so of course it is pouring rain! Wouldn't be right if it wasn't... Maybe I'll find something for dinner. Last night we ended up just having buffalo wings and mozzarella cheese sticks!
Enjoy your lunch with the boys and Jess, Wynne.

Tooooo darn rainy! I agree with Donna - whenever I have an errand to run it is pouring down rain!
It's Brats, sauerkraut, beans tonight. Hubby wanted them on the grill - do to the current weather - I told him to dream on!
Hope all of you back East are warming up and thawing out. Take care and have a good day!

A belated good morning to all. Don't think I'm cooking today. Still full of beans from yesterday.

Got the mail box and post installed. It's above freezing, barely, but the wind is biting. I'll get the numbers put on on another day. We should be in a warming trend for the next week. Getting up into the 50's. WOOOHOO, a heat wave!

Yesterday really sucked. On top of the pork loin fiasco. Took forever to get dinner done. Everyone else said they liked it. I didn't. Fire keeping was difficult for some reason...couldn't keep it going. While I'm sitting there I look up and think what an excellent time to dust the mantle....So I get up on the foot stool that I am sitting on, I guess I stepped on it wrong or something...it flipped out from under me and I came down. Backside first. There are two buckets there. One for ashes and the other for kindling. They scraped up my back. Have some nasty scratching and bruising and very sore. But! Looking on the bright side here....at least I didn't get a poker up my @ss....

Chicken breasts are thawing...not sure for what yet.

OMG! Ang! Glad you're okay - LOL on the poker up your....! Reminds me of the time I was vacuuming the kitchen, the wand came out of the extension pole as I'm going vigorously at it and bapped me in the lip! I was home all alone and all I could do was laugh, but God it hurt like hell! Brad was out of town, and I told him "good thing, or it would look like you gave me a FAT LIP!" LOL
Well I made it home from Costco - yes, in the pouring rain, unloading crap! P7O, it's 50 here now, but I'd take clear and cold other this damn rain!
LOL Val, I'm thinking of grilling ribs in the rain! The meat would be under cover, just not me!
Glad you found your table cover, Laurie.

Where is everyone? Well I went with an old stand-by - my baked penne with meat sauce and topped with cheese (posted) It's even too NASTY for ME to grill in this weather! Maybe tomorrow....

I ended up cutting the breastsss into strips then dredging them in flour, egg wash and crushed corn flakes. Flour and cornflakes seasoned with a bbq rib rub. Baked in oven. I think they came out pretty darn tasty. Salad and leftover pots and macncheese for the side.
