TGIF Friday!

Good Morning Everybody! Supposed to be a nice sunshiny day today. Have to run into town first thing as Mom needs a prescription and I need to grab a few groceries and beverages for the weekend. Jim's Brother, SIL and niece are arriving this afternoon to stay for us for the Long Weekend. Haven't seen them since Thanksgiving.
    Am making
    Bacon Gouda Patties
    and
    Maries Potato Salad
for dinner this evening and I have berries and ice cream on hand if anyone feels like dessert. Am trying to keep things as low key as possible as I'm feeling I have my hands full.
Would like to put up my hummingbird feeders today. Hope everyone has a great day.
Sens Game on tonight and pic below is my decorated fireplace. :)

GO SENS GO! Cute Sens display too Janet:) So glad to hear your Mom is home. Yes get out there and get things done. This Victoria Day long weekend here is always very busy everywhere with people rushing around. Try and relax and enjoy your company.

Marie, Hope you have a great day.

I am going to go out before the maddening crowds come I hope as well. This little town is a big tourist mecca and from this weekend until Labour Day you have a hard time finding a parking space or getting around. I am having salmon for dinner unless I find something else that intrigues me in the grocery store. You never know? I better get moving and I hope to be able to get back in time to check in again.

    Later gators.
    Happy TGIF to everyone!

    Good morning everyone!

Today is my birthday and also the 5 year anniversary of when Kris got Tokyo for me! My girlfriend is coming over and we are going to make a lemon cheesecake with blueberry topping! I am very excited about that. Not sure of other plans. May go out for dinner but I also kind of want to cook for myself. We shall see...

Marie...your salad ROCKS so it is that perfect 'something special' for when company comes! :) I am not at the relaxing point yet nor do I have everything under control. I'm basically one down from 'running screaming into the street'. :)
Hi Joce! Thank Goodness the LCBO didn't go on strike as I was worried what with our visitors arriving! THat would not have been good. :) I can imagine that Perth will be 'happening' this weekend. HUGE cottage weekend! Yum on salmon.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAHLIA! Hope you have a super wonderful day. Happy birthday to Tokyo too! I'd be excited about lemon cheesecake with blueberry topping myself. :)
Morning Tina! Glad you got to sleep in! I'm not a lottery ticket buyer. :) Prefer to spend my money on wine. :) Your dinner sounds lovely. How's your itchy patch?

    Hey all
    Happy birthday!
We had taco salad for dinner. Yummy
I bought a few power ball tix. I was buying lottery stuff for work. I'm having a contest for the Macy men's fragrance counter people. Every time they sell a Tommy Bahama they get to pick an envelope. Some envelopes have a scratch ticket, some have $5 one has $10. Hoping that will help push sales. I might put a $5 dunkin gc in some.

Ohhhh, we are stuffed. Spoonbread was good, greens were good and the leftover pork....yum. I beat the egg whites separate from the yolks and used some bacon drippings to grease the pan and the spoonbread was light as a feather, like a corn meal souffle. Collards had a generous amount of smoked sausage and I minced in a few pepperoncini peppers at the end and it was a neat addition.

Have a good time watching the Sens Game. Go Sens!

I'm making up a batch of banana bread. Bananas won't make it another day.
Fixing fruit salad for lunches, to go with the chicken in ginger dressing.

Loving the show Yardcore. These guys are creative and entertaining. Fun stuff.
