Wet Wednesday?

Not in Central Florida....we have hit a dry spell after Sunday's heavy rain. Now they are talking fire hazard? Good Grief, from one extreme to the other. Hope ya'll up north get a break soon.

Has anyone heard from --kn0x--? I'm worried about her. Or Wynne? Is she coming back from vacation-or so worn out from vacation, she is taking a break?

Wednesday fixings will be something from the deep freeze, we have bacon wrapped turkey tenders, peas and carrots reserved from the pot pie, and some baked potoatoes. Thinking of making a dipping sauce for the turkey out of apple butter, apple cider vinegar and a bit of mustard, maybe some minced garlic and onion-a psuedo bbq dipping sauce. (Have a jar of apple butter that needs to be used)

I am worried about Knox and Wynne too. Don't know if she is back. she never told me when she was due back! Hope we hear from them soon.

We have leftover roast beef,roasted potatoes,gravy and peas!

Sis is coming over today. I actually miss her! Haven't seen her in almost 2 weeks. She's got a lot going on right now. Her boyfriend that she has been with 10 years lost his mother on Monday. Me and him really don't like each other at all, but my heart breaks for him. His mom was a very sweet lady that embraced Kim and her kids as if they were her own family. Every Sunday morning he would take his mom out to breakfast. They were very close.

So, Easter is this Sunday and I've got some baskets to fill! Just call me Peter Cottontail. Will be going to the Walgreen's for the baskets I'm sure. That's where I usually end up.

Might make a run by the grocery store for the chicken and snow peas for the recipe I want to make.

Judy poked her head in on facebook the other day. She was having a rough go last week, not feeling well at all, and was hopin' she'd be better by Monday (this week, the 29th) to start a huge catering job scheduled for this week.

Ang, sorry to hear about Kim's boyfriend's Mother.

I'm not sure when Wynne's due back, either. She may be resting up after her trip. I have sent her a couple of emails and left a message on her page here, no response yet.

No cooking for me tonight. Have to run some errands in Knoxville after work. So, I'll probably heat up some leftovers or eat some rice krispies when I get home. Works for me!

Hope all y'all dry out soon. We are having a gorgeous day, makes me wish I was NOT working!

Gosh, the East Coast is really getting pounded. Hope it clears up soon for all of you.
It's a beautiful day here so far but supposed to rain later.
Everyone's dinners sound great. Not sure what's on the table at our house. Hubby mentioned wanting to have fish for dinner. I'll get to see when I get home.

Laurie, steak tips sound good. Maybe I'll pick up some at Costco today. Hopin' the rain stays away till I get back.
I'm not sure when Wynne is supposed to get back.... I heard Judy is really busy....

Well I did the Costco thing - had to go to both the business center one and the regular one - and to boot, the whole reason I WENT to the Business one was to pick up something and it wasn't READY! Argh! Just 20 minutes out of my way, no prob people. Of course it took them 15 minutes to figure that out TOO!

Oh well, got some nice beef tenderloin filets - couldn't resist and they were only $8.99 lb. (hah - I say ONLY) But usually $15 lb. in the stores. Our one indulgence.... Tonight for sure with grilled asparagus and potatoes.

Thanks Pat. I just checked in my pantry - I KNOW I bought a couple of bakers last week and haven't eaten 'em so WTH are they!? I am NOT running to the store again! So I guess it'll be fried potatoes out of the frozen bag with onions, etc. Brad'll be happy with that!

Going to soak some beans overnight...let's see if I remember to put them in the slowcooker and push the start button tomorrow.
