Even sence I have been told how to do this and I know alot of people dose this as well.I know that there are people are coming down sick. As long as you or someone in your house hold are sick.Here's a best way to get rid of the jerms.

  • Liquid soap of your choice
  • bleach
  • hot water

Directions
  1. In the sink add the main dishes that you use (plates, bowls and forks).Add them to the sink and add enough bleach to the side of the dishes and add the dish soap that you use.Add hot water.Let them set for about an hour or to your desire.Wash them with water (of course we all know that) and set them in a drainer or on a towl. When done clean them off with a towl and put them away.
  2. That way that the jerms are gone and the better that gets on getten rid of the jerms.

Sandy, thank you for this idea! I don't have a dishwasher at my house in the Ozarks and I sort of felt sorry for myself for awhile. But, I got use to washing the dishes by hand and now it is sort of enjoyable. I often wondered how good a job I did at washing when I found leftover food still on the dried dish, but now I will add the bleach and not worry about it. Thank you for being my cooking and now cleaning (lol) friend!

Often dishes LOOK clean but are not sanitary. You're right, because this can and does lead to illness.
As a kid I recall when my Mom always added Javex to the dishwater because of that problem alone.
Her wise actions saved us from many colds and flu.
