Tootsie Roll Cheesecake Recipe
Credit to Jett2whit for the inspiration. I have adapted her recipe closer to the formula I use. This has been a hit at the restaurant. Sweet-sweet!!

Ingredients
  • Chocolate crust-see crust page.
  • 1 1/2 pounds Philly cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 9 ounces Tootsie Roll, melted
  • 2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
  • 2 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 2 Tbsp. orange juice
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350^.
  2. Cut Tootsie Rolls into small pieces.
  3. Melt TRs in sauce pan with corn syrup.
  4. Set aside but keep warm, cover with towel.
  5. Blend cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  6. Add eggs one at a time.
  7. Add melted TRs, they may solidify a bit but keep blending.
  8. Add butter and orange juice, then cream, mixing thoroughly.
  9. Pour into prepared pan.
  10. Bake at 350^ for 1 1/4 hours.
  11. Let cool and refrigerate before serving.
