Muffin Doughnuts

When you want a the taste of a doughnut but not all the extra calories from frying, try these muffins. They really do taste like a doughnut!
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1/3 cup shortening shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
How to make it
- Cream shortening and sugar.
- Add egg and beat.
- Mix dry ingredients and alternately with milk.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
- Don't use muffin papers...best to bake in greased muffin tin.
