Citrus Flank Steak With Asparagus Casserole

- 1 1/4 lbs. flank steak shopping list
- 1 orange shopping list
- grated rind shopping list
- juice of 1 lime shopping list
- juice of 1 lemon shopping list
- sprinkle chili powder to your taste shopping list
- 2 tblsp butter shopping list
- 2 tblsp flavorful olive oil shopping list
- ------------------------------- shopping list
- asparagus Casserole: shopping list
- 2 cans asparagus tips shopping list
- 1 large can cream of celery or cream of chicken soup shopping list
- 1 small bag toasted onions shopping list
How to make it
- Assemble asparagus casserole and bake at 350F dor 20 minutes
- STEAK:
- Place on a large dinner plate
- squeeze one lemon over
- squeeze 1 lime over
- grate skin of orange for a little added zest
- slice orange in half
- squeeze juice of one half over steak allowing several sections to be removed and added to pan
- slice other half with skin on and place in pan
- sprinkle chili powder
- turn from one side to the other for about 5 minutes while butter/oil mix is heating
- heat pan to med high
- cook steak quickly
- 2 minutes one side
- 1 1/2 minutes other side
- remove to chop block
- let sit a few minutes
- slice WITH GRAIN (Alton Brown)
- Serve with pan juices and orange slices
