Mexicali Cheese Pasta

- 1 1/2 cups milk shopping list
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp dry mustard shopping list
- 1/4 tsp pepper shopping list
- 2 Tbsp margarine shopping list
- 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese, divided shopping list
- 8 oz pasta, such as rotini or penne shopping list
- 1 cup salsa shopping list
How to make it
- In a 3 quart sauce pan, combine milk, cornstarch, salt, mustard and pepper.
- Add margarine, and stirring constantly, bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat.
- Reserve 1/4 cup cheese for topping. Stir remaining cheese into sauce until smooth.
- Stir in past and salsa.
- Turn into a 2-quart casserole and sprinkle with reserved cheese.
- Bake in 375 degree oven for 25 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
