How to make it

  • In a 3 quart sauce pan, combine milk, cornstarch, salt, mustard and pepper.
  • Add margarine, and stirring constantly, bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat.
  • Reserve 1/4 cup cheese for topping. Stir remaining cheese into sauce until smooth.
  • Stir in past and salsa.
  • Turn into a 2-quart casserole and sprinkle with reserved cheese.
  • Bake in 375 degree oven for 25 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
