How to make it

  • Combine marinade ingredients in a large container big enough to hold chicken pieces.
  • When marinade is thoroughly mixed add chicken and close container then refrigerate overnight.
  • In the morning place chicken in slow cooker and add marinade up to 1" from top of container.
  • Set cooker on low and cover then cook 6 hours and set to high.
  • Sauté mushrooms in the butter then add mushrooms with pan juices to slow cooker.
  • Add oranges, green pepper and ginger and stir thoroughly.
  • Mix together the cornstarch, milk and cold water then gradually add into the slow cooker.
  • Stir constantly until entire mixture thickens then recover and simmer 30 minutes before serving.
