Christmas Apple And Cinnamon Loaf

- 2 ½ cups of flour. shopping list
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda. shopping list
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. shopping list
- 1 cup of sugar. shopping list
- ¼ teaspoon of salt. shopping list
- ½ cup of butter (to be melted). shopping list
- 1 beaten egg. shopping list
- ½ cup of milk. shopping list
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence. shopping list
- 1 cup of peeled, chopped apples. shopping list
- ½ cup of raisins. shopping list
- ½ cup of chopped pecans (optional). shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C/Gas Mark 4)
- Lightly grease a loaf pan all over.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking soda, sugar and cinnamon.
- Incorporate the melted butter, egg, milk and vanilla essence. Stir & mix well, whilst folding in the raisins, chopped apples, and pecans.
- Pour the mixture into the loaf pan.
- Sprinkle the top with chopped pecans.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until the center of the loaf is cooked thoroughly.
- Leave to stand for 10 minutes in pan before transfering to wire rack to cool
