Fresh Blueberry Sorbet

- 1 Cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 Cup water, prefer spring shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 3 pints or 6 cups fresh picked blueberries, rinsed and patted dry shopping list
- 1/4 lemon juice shopping list
How to make it
- In a medium saucepan over med high heat, combine the sugar, water and salt. Cook, stirring, until sugar and salt have dissoved, about 3 minutes. Let cool for 15 minutes. In a blender or food processor, puree the berries with the syrup and lemon juice until very smooth. You'll still be able to see pieces of berry skins .
- Churn in ice cream maker or I use a Cuisinart counter top maker that takes about 25 minutes. Pack into container to freeze. Served this July 4th and got great reviews!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
