Gooey Chocolate Caramel Fantasy

- 2 c chocolate wafer crumbs (about 38) shopping list
- 1/3 c butter melted shopping list
- 30 vanilla caramels shopping list
- 1/2 c caramel ice cream topping shopping list
- 1/2 c whipping cream shopping list
- 2 c chopped pecans,toasted shopping list
- 3/4 c semisweet chocolate pieces shopping list
- pecan halves,optional shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350. In med. mixing bowl,stir together chocolate wafer crumbs and melted butter. Press onto the bottom of 9" springform pan. Bake 10 mins. Cool slightly on wire rack.
- Meanwhile,in med. heavy saucepan,melt caramels in caramel ice cream toping over low heat,stirring often. Stir in 1/4 c of the whipping cream. Remove from heat;stir in the choped pecans. spread over crust. Chill 1 hour.
- For the topping,in a small heavy saucepan,melt chocolate over low heat. Remove from heat;stir in remaining 1/4 c whipping cream. Drizzle or spread over caramel-pecan mixture. cover and chill at least an hour. If desired,garnish with additional pecan halves.
