Ingredients

How to make it

  • Melt the chocolate and 1/2 cup butter. Let cool.
  • Cream sugar and 1/2 cup of butter.
  • Add eggs one at a time until well blended.
  • Add vanilla and mix for 2 minutes.
  • Slowly add the cooled chocolate. Mix until blended.
  • In a small bowl mix flour, salt and cocoa.
  • Add flour mixture, small amounts at a time, to the sugar mixture until well blended.
  • Pour into a greased and floured 9x13 pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.( I prefer to judge by the toothpick method or you may end up with "crispy" edges.)

Would love to try your brownie recipe. I had made a new brownie recipe that I had found on the site before Christmas and unfortunately it wasn't the moist, rich brownie I had hoped for. I'll let you know how your brownies are once I make them.

Tex..do you use 2 cups of butter total, or just 1 cup as stated? Half with chocolate, half with sugar? I'm confused by the directions - not that THAT's anything new..lol.
