Chicken Noodle Soup

- 1 fryer the bigger the better but at least 3 pounds. shopping list
- Enough water to cover the chicken. shopping list
- 1 or 2 Cans of chicken broth depends on how much chicken flavor you want. shopping list
- 2 to 3 Palmfuls of chicken bouillon granules. shopping list
- 1 Tbsp of montreal seasoning. shopping list
- 1 Tbsp of cajun seasoning. shopping list
- 1 Palmful of red pepper flakes or to taste. shopping list
- 1 Tbsp of onion powder. shopping list
- 1 Large onion diced. shopping list
- 1 Tbsp freshly ground black pepper or more to taste. shopping list
- 6 Stalks of celery chopped. shopping list
- 1 Medium head of cabbage chopped. shopping list
- 2 Heaping Tbsps of minced garlic or to taste. shopping list
- 5 potatoes chopped. shopping list
- 1/4 Cup chopped parsley. shopping list
- 6 carrots peeled and cut into coins. shopping list
- 2 Packages of Reames or homemade egg noodles. shopping list
How to make it
- Begin with a large enough pot to hold the whole chicken and enough water to cover the chicken.
- Season water with all the spices,bring water to a boil
- Boil the chicken for about 1 hour or until the legs will pull off easily.
- While the chicken is cooking cut the celery,potatoes,onion,parsley,cabbage and carrots putting them in another bowl covered with cold water.
- After the chicken is cooked use tongs to get it from the boiling water then set it aside to cool, then debone it.
- With the water still boiling add the bowl of chopped vegetables (drained) CAREFULLY!!!.
- After the chicken has been deboned cut it into bite size chunks then add to the vegetables then add the noodles and continue to boil per package directions until the noodles are done.
- Get a big bowl fill it full and enjoy!!!!
