How to make it

  • Wash and peel the cucumbers.
  • Cut in two, lengthwise, then chop in pieces ,add to the yogurt.
  • Mash the garlic, add it with the salt to the yogurt, mixing well.
  • Sprinkle the salad with dried mint.
  • Chill and serve.

    One of my best friends, who is Iranian, taught me how to make this. In Persian, its "mast va khyar". But she doesn't usually put garlic in it; she adds a little bit of olive oil instead. It's delicious over rice or with meat dishes. Now I'm going to have to make some this weekend. :)
