Spiced Walnuts

- 1 pound walnut halves (pecans can also be used) shopping list
- 2 tablespoons olive oil shopping list
- 2 1/2 teaspoons chili powder shopping list
- 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper shopping list
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt shopping list
How to make it
- In a slow cooker, combine all the ingredients except the salt
- Cook, uncovered, on high for about 2 hours, or until the nuts are toasted
- Stir in the salt
- Let cool
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to six weeks
- Serve at room temperature
- These also make great snacks to put in those Christmas gift baskets.
